Client Overview / Challenge

This client, a woman in her late 40s, had spent most of her life carrying a deep sense of guilt and unworthiness. From childhood onwards, her father frequently criticised her, dismissed her feelings, and made her believe she was wrong or selfish for wanting anything for herself. As an adult, these early patterns continued to shape her inner world:

  • Feeling guilty for having needs, preferences, or boundaries

  • Automatically assuming she was at fault when something went wrong

  • Holding back her opinions to avoid conflict or disapproval

  • Carrying a constant sense of being “too much” or “not enough”

This long-term emotional conditioning left her feeling tense, small, and disconnected from her own voice. She described living with a background sense of guilt that influenced her decisions, relationships, and confidence.

RTT® Hypnotherapy Approach

During her RTT® session, she uncovered the early experiences that had taught her to equate love and safety with compliance, silence, and self-blame. As a child, being criticised or told off felt overwhelming, so her mind learned to protect her by turning everything inward.
