What to Expect from Your RTT® Hypnotherapy Session

This page walks you through exactly what to expect, so you can feel calm, clear, and ready for your transformation.

Before Your Session

Once you’ve booked, I’ll send you a short intake form and clear instructions for joining your online session. It’s all very straightforward, and I’m on hand if you have any questions.

This first step helps me understand what’s really going on for you and what kind of change you’re looking for, so I can tailor the session to suit you completely.

During the Session

Your session lasts around 90–120 minutes and takes place online in a private, relaxed space.
Here’s what to expect:

  • We’ll talk through your issue and how it’s affecting your life.
  • I’ll guide you into a deeply relaxed state — a bit like being absorbed in a book or daydream.
  • Together, we’ll explore the root cause of what’s holding you back, gently and safely.
  • Then we’ll reframe those old beliefs and patterns so they no longer limit you.

What Hypnosis Really Feels Like

Many people expect hypnosis to feel like being “under” or out of control. In truth, it’s a completely natural state, similar to that dreamy feeling just before you fall asleep. You’re fully aware, still in control, and very much yourself.

You’ve probably experienced hypnosis before without realising, like when you’ve driven somewhere and arrived with no memory of the journey, or when you’re totally absorbed in a book. That’s a natural trance state, and that’s what we tap into in the session.

You’ll be in charge the whole time. Hypnosis doesn’t make you do anything you don’t want to do. It simply helps your mind become more open and focused, the perfect environment for lasting change.

Learning to Relax Into It

Hypnosis isn’t about “trying” or “getting it right”,  it’s about relaxing. The more you let go and allow the process, the deeper you go and the more effective the session becomes. It’s a learning experience, and it often gets even easier with each session.

After the Session

You’ll receive a bespoke audio recording to listen to for 21 days. This helps embed the changes and strengthen the new beliefs we’ve created.

You’ll also receive follow-up support, including:

  • A 15-minute check-in after 1 day
  • Another at 7 days
  • One more at 14 days
  • A video review at 21 days to reflect and celebrate progress


Some issues resolve in a single session, while others may take two or three. We’ll talk about what feels right for you based on your specific needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a session?

“Each Rapid Transformational Therapy session lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours. For that reason, please block of a full 2 – 2.5 hours in your calendar to make sure you’re not rushed.”

What does it feel like?

“The experience feels different for different people. Some people feel a floating sensation, some do not. Others may feel sleepy, some do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease. What’s most important is to know that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is.”

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

“No, absolutely not.  That’s an old wives’ tale. You have complete control the whole time. You can talk, move your body, get a tissue. If our call gets disconnected you may drift into sleep if you’re really relaxed, but eventually you’ll notice that you’re not hearing my voice and open your eyes.”

How does it work?

“Hypnosis is not magic, it’s science. It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you’re in REM. That’s what allows you to access the subconscious mind. It’s very easy and anyone can do it, you’ll see for yourself when you do it too.”

What if i don’t go deep enough?

“Don’t worry about how deep you go. I want you to forget all about that. It’s really not important. The depth of your relaxation is not linked to results at all. So don’t get stuck on “Am I deep enough?” Just tell yourself the truth, “This is working” and it will absolutely work. Just know that it is effective.”

What if I think I already know the reasons behind my issue?

“What makes an RTT hypnotherapy session amazing is that even if you think you know the reason, you see it in a COMPLETELY new way. That’s what allows you to change the meaning and ultimately, change your beliefs. And for many clients they go back to scenes that are totally different from what was expected. Just relax and trust that your subconscious mind will show you exactly what you need to see.”

What if I go back to scenes that are painful or scary?

“If you go back to scenes from your life that are related to things like sexual or physical abuse, or other trauma, it’s important to remember that you are not reliving that scene, you are simply reviewing it and that you are safe.
I will support you and create a safe space for you to express

your emotions and heal – you’ll be OK.”

When will I start to see changes?

“There are 3 types of change from Rapid Transformational
Therapy – every person is different:

i. Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away, immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviours right in the session.
ii. Incremental: You see consistent shifts every
day, or over time.
iii. Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you
suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life.”

What if I need or want another session?

RTT is designed to give you a powerful breakthrough and create big changes in your life.
Some clients may need more than one RTT session on a particular issue, depending on how deep the issue is, it can take up to 3 sessions.
Some want to keep doing sessions to work on other areas of their life in order to integrate the new beliefs and build new habits and behaviours.

What can’t be cured using RTT?

“Epilepsy, Bipolar or some mental conditions cannot be cured using RTT.
Also Cancer, Alzheimer‟s, Dementia and Diabetes cannot be cured; however with RTT it is
possible to help to alleviate symptoms and manage these conditions.”

Where are sessions held?

“Sessions are delivered online.
We use Google Meet, FaceTime, WhatsApp or the Phone to deliver the sessions. Online is just as effective as ‘in-person’ sessions. Online enables the client to enjoy the freedom of being at home without the need for travel.
In-person sessions are held at: Brighter Spaces 2A Prebend Street, Islington, London N1 8PT.”
