After years of struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, and looping negative thoughts, this client in his late twenties came to RTT® hypnotherapy as a last resort. Previous therapies hadn’t worked, but what he experienced in one powerful session changed everything.
This client had lived with persistent anxiety and a harsh internal dialogue for most of his adult life. He often felt stuck in patterns of self-doubt, overthinking, and low self-worth. Although he longed to feel confident, happy in his own skin, and secure in himself, he couldn’t seem to break out of the loop.
His background revealed a childhood shaped by emotional distance and the unresolved grief of losing his birth father. His relationship with his stepfather and parents left him feeling invalidated and unsure of his place in the world. The need for approval ran deep, even as he longed to let it go.

RTT® Hypnotherapy Approach
During the RTT® hypnotherapy session, the deeper causes of his anxiety and inner criticism came to light. He began to understand how early beliefs formed during grief and emotional suppression, were still driving his feelings of insecurity and anxiety.
With this awareness, he no longer felt trapped by those past dynamics. The session helped him reframe his sense of self, empowering him to stop seeking external approval and instead begin generating his own inner validation and self-worth.
He was given strong hypnotic suggestions and imagery to stop the looping thoughts and replace them with uplifting, empowering ones. We used vivid visualisation techniques to help him feel more confident, calm, and in control, not just mentally, but also physically, supporting improvements in both mindset and self-image.
